The life and work

A quirky vampire, an edgy anarchist, a wealthy and emotionally unstable British wife, and a kindergarden teacher...yep that's me! These are just a few examples of the variety of characters I have played. By the way, the vampire role was opposite Ice T in the recent feature film Bloodrunners. The British dame is Jane in Fallen Angels at Actors Studio, in NYC. Some more recent favorites, before I give you a quick blast from the past, is a national print and in bank video campaign with TD Bank,  and a few national commercial spots with Merci Chocolates. But I originally hail from New Market, MD; a little half mile long antique town. That's where I got to play Cinderella in 8th grade. That's what started my journey; embarking on the first steps most actors take on their way to success, i.e. waiting tables, walking dogs, babysitting, and attempting to sell things on Etsy.

I received my BA in a small town as well, at Susquehanna University in PA. However, I had a huge change in scenery and moved to New York City to pursue my MFA at the Actors Studio Drama School with Pace University. At the Actors Studio Drama School, I got the amazing opportunity to be trained by Elizabeth Kemp. Over the course of my education, I played roles ranging from classical works to contemporary. Some favorites include, Sister James in Doubt, Lady Anne in Richard III, Hannah in the Tennessee Williams play, Night of the Iguana, Hannah Mae in Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talkin', and Pickles in The Great American Trailer Park Musical. I was trained in improvisation, Strasberg, Meisner, and Kristen Linklater's vocal techniques, and dance, with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and studied theatre history as well.   I got to participate in the Actors Studio sessions taught by the likes of Ellen Burstyn, Estelle Parsons, and Stephen Lang, to name a few. I also had the honor of being selected to sing the National Anthem for the Pace University Masters Graduation at Radio City.

I continued to show up on various stages in New York.  A few highlight projects were playing Stephanie in the new musical Beyond This Paradise, for which I was a best actress nominee in the Thespis Theatre Festival. The show continued onto the 45th Street Theatre stage. I played Mary in The Angel Play at The Looking Glass Theater. I left New York for a while to go on tour as Belle in Beauty and the Beast story with the American Family Theatre. It was fun to explore much of the country I had never seen!  I also played Corie in Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park at Winnipesaukee Playhouse. Corie was a role I had always wanted to play.

I have had a blast in several films and commercials as well! It's fun to use my education in so many different ways within the industry. Future goals: play opposite some of my biggest idols, like Jessica Chastain, Kate Winslet and Amy Adams...Check out my on camera work on my youtube page by clicking the icon!
